I was deeply saddened to learn of Richard’s passing. May each new day bring his family and friends a measure of comfort. It was my honor and great pleasure to work with him at JVS. He was always kind, welcoming, cheerful and generous with his time. Richard had a way of making everyone feel special. I will miss him dearly.

I spent many a JVS Management Meeting across the table from Richard sharing lunch, joking about his food choices and enjoying his company. He always had a smile when you went down to his office, even when he was overloaded with work. JVS was not the same when he retired and he will be sorely missed at our future reunion parties. May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

To Arlene, Neil, Jessica and Scott, and all the rest of the Family, my heart breaks to hear of Rich’s passing. Rich is as much a part of my childhood memory as anyone and his jolly good nature and quick wit made him one of my all time favorite people on Earth. I am so sorry for your loss and I know it’s a big one. On behalf of all of the Allards, I’m sending you all of our love, hugs, and support. May he rest peacefully, and may you find peace. Yorkshire Drive will never be the same!!

I am so sad to hear of Richard's passing. He was one of the first faces I met at JVS, helping me fill out my I-9 form; we bonded as it took me forever to complete and he just could not understand how I was unable to fill in one single space independently! Richard was so supportive of me during my time at JVS, he always had an open door, for which I was constantly walking through. I have so many memories, but will mostly remember how we would just laugh, sometimes just in passing, at nothing at all. Richard will forever be in my heart. My deepest condolences to the Sirota family.

I am so saddened by this news. I spent many years working with Richard at Jewish Vocational Service, and then we would get together occasionally after we both left the agency for a nice Deli sandwich. I will remember Richard as a caring, dedicated person with a great sense of humor. He was, above all, a mensch. My heartfelt condolences to the family. May his memory be for a blessing.
