One of many memorable moments When Ross and Laura played a joke on me one day. Ross was amazing. 

Uncle Ross, aka the Colorado Rossies, I'm going to miss you.   Of course I will always remember the risk games on Saturday nights til all hours of the night, the summer weekends at the pool, the basketball games in the driveway, but I just loved your superbowl parties.  It was tradition, it was always assumed we would be there, no invitation was needed but then you would text me a few weeks before and it was official.  Uncle Ross made the best wings, he always had a few interesting flavors, whatever he felt like concocting, but they always had a nice crisp to them.  Even though I'm a jets fan I'm glad I was there to witness 2 Giants Superbowls with you guys (maybe one day the Jets will win one but let's be honest...)  Thanks for all the great memories in life and all the positive vibes you've always had...you'll deeply be missed but never forgotten.  


Laura, and family we mourn with you during this difficult time. We remember how Ross seemed bigger than life with such a jovial nature. You baby sat Nate in 2001 when he was just a baby. It has been 15 years since we moved to NC. The memories flood back of happy times in historic Tappan. I know the leaves are falling and nature is beautiful this time of year. Ross was a good friend of mine from the 60's. My first fond memory of Ross was when he brought a demo to my house in 1968 from an unknown band. The song was "Good Times Bad Times", low and behold by probably one of the greatest rock and roll groups of all times. "Led Zeppelin".  Since we both love music, we went on to many concerts together, the latest at the PNC in Jersey seeing Black Sabbath, whom we saw at the Fillmore East in 1968. He and Laura were also a roommate of mine. Ross and myself played many a pickup game of basketball together. You should have seen me trying to postup Ross at 5'7". When I heard the news of Ross's death, I was shocked. In passing I pray for you and your family. I will see you in our next life where we will again  play a pickup game of basketball and rock out some music. God bless you my friend.

Ross and I go back a long way....we  were childhood friends, attended college together, and he was my first roommate.  We grew up together and we were best friends.  We shared so many things....camping, concerts, mutual friends.  Ross was quite the storyteller and he always had a tale to tell that always made us laugh.  It saddens me to know that we won't have any new adventures to share or any new stories to hear.  I will forever cherish our times  together.  He was taken from us too soon but he left his mark and he will never be forgotten.  Rest in peace my friend.  Soar with the angels until we meet again.

Ross was a great childhood friend from the "Old neighborhood " on East 3rd St. We had some crazy fun times in the 60's and 70's. He was also a hero. When the house across the street went up in flames. Ross and myself ran to get the family out. Unfortunately we failed and I know that Ross probably still carried those tragic memories. He didn't hesitate, knowing that there was a chance he could get injured also. RIP Ross and may your memory be a blessing to all that knew and loved you.

To My Wonderful Brother In Law Ross.It has been an honor to be in your life for the last 43 years. We had so many good times.I will never forget them.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of a good and lifelong friend. We've known each other for many years, since the late 1950's or early 1960's growing up together on East 3rd. Street in Brooklyn. Ross and I were both musicians, him on drums and me on guitar. We started a few bands, practiced daily in his living room or in my basement, played many gigs together and were inseparable. We drove to Oklahoma together in 1972 in my old, beat up '63 VW Beetle. It was an adventure I will never forget. The picture below was from my wedding in 1986. My wife Karen and I send our sincere and heartfelt prayers to the Kelter family and wish you all comfort and peace during these hard times. Ross was a good guy and a friend I will always remember. Rest in peace buddy.

RIP Cousin Ross, you will be so greatly missed. Sending so much love and prayers to your loved ones. 

I remember when I was younger Laura And Ross would pick me up and drive Back to their house and I remember Ross would  drive so fast on the BQE and singing “be good Johnny”. At the top of his lungs.
