Dear Sobel Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Russ's passing. 
I attended Hartwick College as a senior in 1977 and was Russ's roommate that year (he was a freshman). We became good friends that year and managed to stay in contact throughout the years. I remember well the seder he prepared in our dorm room for Passover, a first for me. My condolences to the Sobel family.

Dear Sobel Family,
I worked with Russ through Chugai from Tokyo Japan. We met 3 months ago in a meeting in Tokyo. The Russ that I know is a very outspoken and patient man. He shared his ideas and views willingly to help make meetings productive and meaningful. I am truly sorry to hear of your loss. I offer my deepest condolences and sympathy and wish you all well.

I was very sad to hear of this loss. Russ was a very kind, warm and thoughtful man. I also worked with him at Roche on a training project. He always had a warm smile and a kind word. He will be in my thoughts and prayers. I will continue to keep you all in my thoughts and prayers as well.

Dear Sobel Family, I knew Russ as a colleague while at Roche, even though we worked in different molecules and in different functions.  My last memory of Russ prior to my departure from Roche was in an international meeting where we both sat down on a bench and talked about our changing lives. Over time I came to respect Russ as man of value and integrity in a changing world. He was a sensitive man who deeply cared. You should all be proud of him for what he offered to our world. And remember, he will always be with you, albeit in different forms.  In the word of Rumi: Don't grieve. Anything you lose comes round in another form.  With deepest sympathies and respect.

Dear Dalia, Danielle, Tamir and Elan,
I am so sorry to hear of your terrible loss. Russ was a kind and gentle soul who spoke highly and lovingly of his family. It was evident how much all of you meant to him. He touched many in his professional life as well, and will be sorely missed. I worked with Russ at Roche.  We are all shocked and saddened by his passing.

Dear Dalia, I met Russ at a Roche team building activity, and that's when I found out we're neighbors and he's the dad of Tamir and Danielle who were classmates with my children, Juno and Isa. We are right around the corner on Woodglen Drive. Since then, whenever I saw him, he would say hi and chat, mostly about New City and how he would never leave the town he loved and grew up in. It deeply saddened me to hear he passed away. May your happy memories bring solace to you and your family.

I was so saddened and shocked to hear the news of Russ passing away on Thursday. I wish you all Long Life. Russ and I worked together during his time at Roche. I am based in the UK (Just outside of London) and whenever I would come over Russ would take me to Sammy's!! Once Russ and one of our friends Andy finished work early and cycled bikes over the GWB into Manhattan and down to Battery Park  super fun. That's how I will remember Russ; A fun and sincere guy,  a gentleman who adored his family (he always spoke of you) and loved life. Sending my sincere condolences to you all. Look after each other

Dear Sobel Family,
I worked for Russ at Roche and he was one of the nicest, bosses I ever had. He was so phenomenal at work; marketing, understanding our competition. We all wondered how he balanced it all! He had the largest portfolio for a submission with Actmra! It took 3 OPLs to replace him!!! Yet, even with his work volume, his door was always open to us, he was helpful and never said no to anyone who knocked. He always greeted you with a smile. Such an amazing spirit.  You must know how respected he was. I am blessed to have worked with him and learned so much from him. He will always be in my heart. My condolences. The Keeperman Family.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Russ's passing. 

Russ and I worked together during his time at Hoffmann La Roche. It was a pleasure to have worked with Russ. A true professional and gentleman. Those of us who had the opportunity to work with Russ will miss him greatly.

Dear Dalia and family, I am so very sorry for your loss! Russ was my manager 14 years ago at Millennix. He was so kind and a great boss. He always talked about you and your kids; he was so proud of you all. While you don't know me and my colleagues who all reported to Russ we knew you through all his stories. He loved birds and one day he took us all birdwatching before work. 
I am so sad for you and your family. I hope you will find consolation in beautiful memories of Russ. My condolences.
