Stanley Becker

The family of Stanley Becker is sad to announce his passing on Dec. 15, 2022 at the age of 97. Stanley was a proud veteran of World War 2. After the war he became a Teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal in the New York City Public School system and after retiring , went on to work for Yavneh Academy, a private jewish day school in Paramus NJ.

Stanley loved teaching and worked as a substitute teacher until he was 90, at various schools in Rockland and at Hunter Elementary School in New York City. He loved posing and solving math problems, reading about Columbus and George Washington and celebrating holidays with his family. He is survived by his wife of almost 73 years, Beverly Becker, and his six grandchildren, Dylan, Evan, Dallas, Audrey, Chelsea and Daryl.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, December 18, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Road, Elmont, NY 11105.
