

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen; his children, William Spataro, Mary-Beth (Mickey) Zrelak, Stephen (Melinda) Spataro, Ann (Tim) Malloy, and Eileen (Dave) Deyo; his siblings Robbie(Juanita) Spataro, his sister Kathy(John) Gass and sister-in-law Ronni; stepchildren, Lance Lewis, David (Elizabeth) Lewis, and Heidi (Andres Rabinovich) Lewis; his many cherished grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Margaret Spataro, and brothers Jimmy Spataro and Tommy Spataro.
Bill graduated from New York University with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering and dedicated many years of service to the New York Power Authority. Throughout his career, he was respected for his knowledge, integrity, and commitment to his work.
Above all, Bill will be remembered for the love, kindness, and unwavering support he gave to his family and friends. A deeply spiritual man with a passion for lifelong learning, he approached life with curiosity and compassion. He also found great joy in giving back to his community through volunteering with the Hudson Valley Humane Society, 200 Quaker Road, Pomona, NY 10970, where he helped care for animals in need.
Bill’s legacy of love, generosity, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral Services will be held at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977, US, on July 10, 2026, at 11:00 am, with all guests arriving at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Congregation Sons of Jacob Cemetery, 165 Westside Ave, Haverstraw, NY 10927.
