Carolyn was a devoted wife to Gary Logan Blackford, whom she married in 1969. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She is survived by her beloved husband Gary, daughter Hollie Murphy (Brandon), son Christopher Blackford (Mandy),
and grandchildren Logan, Dylan, Elizabeth, and Olivia, whom she adored and they affectionately called her Mimi. Carolyn was a source of unwavering love and support for her family.
Carolyn attended Miami Jacobs College and embarked on a fulfilling career, dedicating 25 years of service to the Dayton Police Department. She concluded her career in the Kettering Courts system, leaving a lasting impact on those she worked with.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Carolyn was known for her culinary talents and enjoyed nothing more than gathering her loved ones around the table for a delicious meal. She was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Football, but her greatest joy
came from attending her grandchildren's various activities, from sports events, where she could cheer passionately to theater performances where she applauded their talents.
In addition to her immediate family, Carolyn is survived by her brother Jack Roberts and his wife, Judy. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 7th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 N. Main Street Springboro, Ohio 45066. The funeral service will take place at noon on Friday, March 8th, also at Anderson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, a cause close to Carolyn's heart. Carolyn and Gary were active members of the Antioch Shrine for over 50 years, where Carolyn served as the former First Lady
in 2001.
