Glenna Porter

Glenna May Green, age 85, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Danbury Senior Living. Born on September 10, 1940, she was the eldest daughter of the late Herbert L. and Goldie M. (Phillips) Green. And a 1958 graduate of Springboro HS.

Glenna expressed her love through food, ensuring no one ever left her home hungry or empty handed. She was an avid shopper, taking great satisfaction from finding a bargain and stocking up on items to share with her family. She was famously ‘feisty’ known for her sharp wit, strong opinions, and even stronger will. Glenna’s great love was her husband Carl and she treasured her grandchildren with unwavering dedication.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Carl R. Porter; brother, Richard Green. Glenna is survived by her son, C. Douglas (Kristi) Porter; daughter, Diana Christy; three granddaughters, Kelsey K. Porter, Sara (Kyle) Kennedy, Grace Porter; two grandsons, Benjamin Christy, Grant (Aryn) Porter; brother, Herb Green Jr.; sister, Peggy (Bill) Stout.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday May 8, 2026 at Springboro Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Danbury Senior Living for providing exceptional care and to DayCity Hospice nurse Amber for her loving dedication.
