He is survived by his wife, Linda K. (Fisher) Oda; three sons, Joseph, Robert, and William; three grandchildren, Nathan Oda, Abby Miller, and Hope Oda; and two great granddaughters. He is also survived by his loyal four legged family member, Katie AKA Barky Von Schnauzer.
James worked as a Tool and Die Maker for 34 years at General Motors. After his retirement from GM, he worked delivering supplies for a local coffee company.
He loved taking hikes in the Smokie Mountains. He loved yelling for the Ohio State football team as well as yelling at the Bengals.
Family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Monday, June 15, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 North Main Street, Springboro, Ohio 45066.
