Mary Jo Duncan

Mary Jo graduated from Fairmont East High School in 1966, where she met her high school sweetheart Jim Duncan, where they were married for an amazing 49 years.

Jim and Mary Jo loved their family of 3 children. Vacationing with/to visit family & friends, along with traveling to a myriad amount of sporting events brought much joy to their life. The love of sports continued to evolve into supporting her grandchildren later in life. Mary Jo and Jim had a wonderful group of friends where they would have frequent get-togethers; playing euchre, watching sports and going to the casinos.

Mary Jo’s love for Jim took on a new role towards the end of Jim's life as she took special care of him while he was ill. Prior to taking care of Jim, Mary Jo managed many offices, at great companies such as NCR, Perkin Elmer, Control Data, and Norman Spencer.

When not spending time with or cheering for her children and grandbabies, she loved to support the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, along with Duke Blue Devils basketball, and Michigan Wolverines football. Her other hobbies included playing cards, board games, book clubs, sewing and crafting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Duncan in 2018; and sister, Barbara.

Mary Jo is survived by son, Christopher (Courtney) Duncan; daughters, Kelly (Garrett) Seputis, and Sarah (Christopher) Iacovone; grandchildren, Kennedy, Owen, Charles, Loralei, Elliott, Palmer, and Remington; sister, Janice; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 North Main Street, Springboro, Ohio 45066. An additional visitation will occur Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville, Ohio 45459, where a Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:30 AM.
