"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18
Nancy Katherine Perkey, 87, of Springboro, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
Born in Bradford, Pennsylvania, to Raymond J. and Grace A. (Burns) Howe, Nancy grew up in Ottawa, Ohio, where she met her husband, Norman Robert Perkey. She found joy in caring for others, and her kindness, patience, and unconditional love touched everyone she encountered.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, R. John Howe and Richard C. Howe, and her sister, Barbara J. Hooks. She is survived by her husband, Norman R. Perkey; her children, Breton H. (Diana) Perkey, Kirsten A. Perkey, Amy E. Perkey, and Eric N. (Stephanie) Perkey; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ethan, and Emmaline; and her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Lorelai, and Derek.
Her life, marked by love for others and her unwavering faith in God, leaves a legacy of grace that will be felt for generations. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her absence profoundly felt.
