Ronald Gene Stogdill

Ronald Gene Stogdill, 86, of Springboro Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, after a lengthy illness. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Virgie Stogdill; his daughter, Janice Nordness; and his sisters Ruth Mason and Diana Gauer. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lillian Jean Stogdill; his son Cliff Stogdill and wife Annette; his daughter Tracey Dragos and husband Brian; and his sister Martene Bishop. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jessica Johnson (Chris), Erika Wingate (Ryan), Kyle Nordness (Emmalee), Travis Brown, Jean Brown, Rachel Staben (Omar) and Nathan Stogdill as well as great grandchildren Ryne, Dylan, Henry and Hazel.

Ronald was born in Iowa and his family moved around the Midwest, eventually settling in Trotwood, Ohio. Ron graduated from Trotwood Madison High School in 1957. Ron continued his education and became an electrical engineer working for Chemineer until he retired. While at Chemineer, he designed and held several patents for superior fluid agitation equipment and systems. After retiring, Ron and Jean moved to Springboro, Ohio.

Ronald enjoyed fishing, working on cars and completing many unique home projects. He was most often found in his garage workshop. Ron was a daredevil and loved to drive fast cars and electric bikes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.
