Born September 17, 1962, in Middletown, Ohio, he was the son of the late Robert and Beverly Tranter. Scott and his older brother, Jeff, grew up in Middletown and spent their summers at Lake Wawasee.
After graduating from Bishop Fenwick High School, Scott earned a Bachelor’s degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He went on to have a successful 30-year career as a National Accounts Manager in pharmaceutical sales, a role that allowed him to travel throughout the country.
A lifelong racing enthusiast, Scott reached the milestone of attending 50 Indy 500 races. He also took to the track himself, competing in various sports car classes with the Sports Car Club of America alongside his friends and eventually, his son Jack. Away from the track, he spent his time testing new recipes, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and discovering the latest restaurants with his daughters, Rebecca and Liz.
Most of all, Scott will be remembered for his larger-than-life presence, his booming laugh, and an unforgettable smile.
There will be a gathering of family and friends at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 North Main Street, Springboro, Wednesday, August 26 starting at 11:00 am, followed by a celebration of Scott's life at 1:00 pm with Pastor Danny Griffith presiding.
