Sophia Lee Thomas

Sophia Lee Thomas, age 89 of Springboro, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 4:30 AM. Born at home in Hamilton, Ohio on November 30, 1934 she was a daughter to the late Roscoe & Opal (House) Hurst. Sophia had worked many years as a switchboard operator for JCPenny in the Dayton Mall. In her free time she enjoyed gardening her flowers, being out in nature, and especially enjoyed thrift shopping and garage sales. More than anything she was a loving mother, who loved her family and animals deeply; she will be truly missed. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jack L. Thomas: sons Richard and Timothy Thomas: brothers Jim, David and Ross Hurst.

She is survived by her son Brian & Beth Thomas: brothers John Hurst; Bill & Tim Hurst: sister-in-laws Nella Hurst; Diane Hurst: as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family members.

Friends may call on the family from 11:00 -1:00 PM on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at the Anderson Funeral Home-40 N Main St, Springboro, Ohio 45066- Funeral service to follow at 1 PM. Burial at Rosehill Cemetery, Hamilton, Ohio.
