Sylvia Ruth Powell

Sylvia Ruth Powell, age 93, of Centerville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at her residence. She was born on May 24, 1932, in Big Hill, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Lonnie and Matilda (Vairs) Hudson. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Harold B. Powell in 2019.

Sylvia is survived by her four children, Dianne (Greg) Barker, Craig (Gayla) Powell, Tonya (Roger) Bonecutter, Darla (Matt) Woosley; her sister, Dixie Hudson Green; three granddaughters, Alisha Scott, Angela (Oswald) Sibrian, Lynsie (Jessy) Miniard; three great-grandchildren, Lilly, Aurelio and Jessy, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Anderson Funeral Home-Springboro Chapel, 40 North Main Street, Springboro, Ohio. Interment will follow in Springboro Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Monday.
