Adam Eugene Benson (Hill) Chambers

Adam Eugene Benson (Hill) Chambers, 30, of Springfield, went home to be with the Lord, at 9:27 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Adam was born April 2, 1983 in Springfield, the son of James Hill and Doris Benson Chambers. Adam was a 2001 graduate of Springfield High School. He also attended Capital Area Career Center. He was employed by Springfield Public Schools as a Special Education Attendant and SPARC for several years. Adam enjoyed technology, writing, photography, and good looking cars. He was known for being a hardworking, level headed man, with a good sense of humor. Adam was always the spark of light in the room. He was preceded in death by his father, James Hill; one uncle, Ozie Michael Benson; one brother, Melvin Hill; and two sisters, Quintella Bullock and Angeline Hill. He is survived by his mother, Doris Benson Chambers of Springfield; grandparents, Mary Benson of Springfield, and Walter McDade of Springfield; one aunt, Shirlene (Dewitt) Crump; his siblings, Armone E. (wife, LaDonna) Benson, Anthony E. (wife, LaPresha) Chambers, Morris Dickerson III, all of Springfield, and Michael (wife, Lisa) Hill of Kentucky, Kelvin (wife, Margaret) Hill, Demetrius (wife, Dawn) Hill, Shirley (husband, Larry, deceased) Hill-Hall of Indiana, and Morrisa, Marquetta, Tamesha, Lakesha, Myra, and Mariya Dickerson, all of Springfield; nieces, DeJa' Benson, Deyzanelle, Akiya, Jameiya, Maxa, Azarea, Amariah, and Aniya Chambers; nephews, Michael Quintayvis, Marquin, Anthony Jr., and Anttrell Chambers; and a host of other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering and Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Kumler United Methodist Church, 600 N. 5th St., Springfield.
