Alexander Latif, 83, of Springfield passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at St. John's Hospice. Alexander was born on October 31, 1929 in India, the son of David and Daulat (Bibi) Fazaludin. Alexander married Sylvia Samuel in Pakistan in 1959. They shared 54 years of marriage together, she survives. Also surviving is his son Monty (wife Ruby) Latif, his 3 grandchildren; Hannah, Moshe, and Shaul, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Alexander attended First United Methodist Church in Springfield. He enjoyed going bird hunting with his son and grandsons. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013, at 6 pm at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S Koke Mill Rd Springfield IL 62711. Memorials in his name may be made to St. John's Hospice.
