Alice was born February 1, 1933, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of George and Ellen (Dawson) Hoffman.
Alice attended Calvary Temple in Springfield, Illinois, where her faith and community were important parts of her life. She was actively involved with SPARC for many years and dedicated 19 years of service to Goodwill Industries before retiring. Alice found joy in simple pleasures, including playing Bunco and Bingo at Senior Service Center of Central Illinois, and she especially loved going out to eat and sharing meals with others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ellen; sisters, Rose Catherine Richardson, Dorothy Ann Eilman, and Helen H. Sokolis; brothers, George A., William P., George H., John, and Charles Hoffman; and nephew, Keith Richardson.
Alice is survived by nieces and nephews, Margie and Thomas Sokolis, Nancy Schmidt, Catherine Greig, William “Andy” Eilman, and Cynthia Farrow; and several great nieces and great nephews.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Services will be held at a later date.
