Alice M. Palusinski, 84, of Springfield, passed away at 2:55 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2000 at her residence. Mrs. Palusinski was born September 21, 1916 the daughter of Kaston and Caroline Compardo Stockus in Springfield. She married Alex Palusinski at St. Vincent DePaul Church on December 31, 1938. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2000. Along with her late husband, she owned and operated the Fairview Tavern and Restaurant, retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Aloysius Parish and Sangamon County Extension. She was preceded in death by her husband: Alex, her parents, and one son: Robert Palusinski in November of 1999. Mrs. Palusinski is survived by her daughter: Maureen Howell of Sherman; one brother: Raymond (wife-Joyce) Stockus of Sherman, and two grandchildren. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 4-7 pm on Monday, January 22, 2001. Funeral services will be held at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Titus officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
