

Alma “Jean” Colin, 80, of Dawson, died at 8:10 a.m. Sunday, May 04, 2003 at St. John’s Hospice. Jean was born November 9, 1922 in Buffalo Hart, the daughter of Homer C. and Eva Marie Skinner Sexton. She married Maurice P. Colin December 23, 1946 at St. Aloysius Rectory. Mrs. Colin was employed by Sangamo Electric as a Time Keeper, retiring July 1978 after 36 years of Service. She was later employed by the State of Illinois, Department of Revenue for 11 years as a Tax Examiner. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Maurice of Dawson; one sister: Virtue Lorraine Sexton of Springfield; three brothers; Homer C. “Bud” Sexton of Sherman, Forrest “Mike” (wife, Melva) Sexton of Wheaton, Charles Leroy “Chuck” (wife, Dorothy) Sexton, of Mechanicsburg; three nieces: Sandra Louann (husband, Chris) Fink of Rosewood Heights, Debra Jean (husband, Ken) Lowery of Rochester, Gitana Marie (husband, Todd) Fishburn of Rochester; three nephews: Timothy Charles (wife, Bobbie) Sexton of Dawson, Michael Fred (wife, Beth) Sexton of Wheaton, Glen Alan (wife, Sally) Sexton of Tomball, TX; several great nieces and nephews; several great great nieces and nephews and several cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003. Funeral services will be at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Bill Shanle officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
