

Amanda was born on October 8, 1982, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of David Wayne and Dana (Jernigan) Turley. She married Micheal W. Hill on January 13, 2005, in Springfield.
Amanda grew up in Dawson and attended Tri-City High School. As a young girl, she loved dance. She loved being outside and enjoyed camping, hiking, going on cruises, animals, drawing, coloring, and watching TV while cuddling with her dog, Dagger. Amanda and her husband had recently been enjoying a dart league together. She was a great cook and often tried new recipes. Amanda had worked at Shop ‘N Save and St. John’s Hospital in medical records for over 15 years. Most recently, she worked for Hobby Lobby. Amanda was known for being quirky, fun, and outgoing.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wendell Turley; grandmother, Ruth Whitehead; uncle, Jerry Turley; and brother-in-law, JR Sanford.
She is survived by her husband, Micheal W. Hill of Springfield; mother, Dana (fiancé, James) Turley of Riverton; father, Dave (wife, Karla) Turley of Dawson; grandmother, Rita Turley of Springfield; one brother, David (wife, Samantha) Turley of Secor, IL; stepsister, Rachel Alderson of Springfield; mother-in-law, Debbie (husband, Jim) Kirchgesner of Springfield; father-in-law, Rick Sanford of FL; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Aaron Harrod officiating. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
