He was born on January 12, 1935 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Joseph and Bertha (Kovacs) Boshardy.
Mr. Boshardy worked as a carpenter for Gateway Concrete Forming Systems in Chicago, IL for many years, retiring in 1997. He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a son John (wife Tina) Boshardy of Springfield, a daughter-in-law Patricia Boshardy of Pittsfield, IL, and 4 grandchildren, Caitlin, Drew, Leo, and Kyle Boshardy.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Andrew Boshardy, 4 brothers, and a sister.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where visitation will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 from 2 to 5 pm. According to his wishes, cremation rites will follow.
