Angelito will be dearly missed. I truly enjoyed his company. He was a quiet man, yet you could tell his mind was sharp, and so many thoughts were running though his mind. He always made me smile! rest well with the Anglels, my friend!

Such a good friend and a wonderful, talented doctor! We will miss you so much. Always proud to share photos of his children and grandchildren.  And the food! Thank you, Mary for all the years of delicious food at work. Love and prayers for you and the family. ❤️ He will be missed.

I worked with Dr. Dela Cruz at Genesis West ER from 1994 until 2016. I adored this man! When I would run into him after my ER days he would get out his phone and show me his grandkids m. He was an extremely proud grandpa. 
I have many wonderful memories working with him. When you got him smiling it would light up a room. 
One of my sweet memories is that he stopped by my wedding reception after work. It was wonderful to see him. 
During the Christmas season, he and Mary would bring in food to share. It made working during Christmas a bit better. 
Thank you for the memories Dr. Dela Cruz. You will be missed❤️

I worked with ACDC from 1989-2913. He was amazing and so was/is his wife!!! I also met and worked with his son/ ER doctor in Springfield. Dr. DelACruz was a trusted friend and confidant. He took care of my dad when he was dying. I will miss him!  RIP

I am a paramedic and have been so for 33 or so years.  I worked with Dr. Dela Cruz for my entire career, in Davenport, Silvis, and Geneseo.    During that time I earned his trust, especially when we worked together in the ER at HHH.  He had a great sense of humor, although he only showed it once in a while .  He taught me much.  After time working together I came to call him Lito, he did not mind.  Others called him Dela.  We have lost another of the great old time ER doctors.  Rest easy Lito.

Will dearly miss Dr. Delacruz. Fabulous to work with for so many years. Loved his bright smile and ability to make us all laugh.

Dr. de la Cruz was one of the best ER physicians I’ve ever worked with! As a new nurse at Mercy ER, I learned so much from him! We shared so many laughs and stories! He was so skilled with his suturing as well as managing challenging patients!  
I always respected his steadfast love for his family and his work ethic as well!

Sending love and deepest condolences to Dr. de la Cruz’s family.  “Tito Lito” as my husband refers to him and we knew him as, was such a strap ,hardworking, and loving human being.  His wonderful wife, kids, and grandkids are the legacy of the positive impact he made on the world—in addition to the thousands of patients he cared for and healthcare co-workers he cared with.  My husband often attributes Tito Lito and Tita Mary for being a living example of kindness and character, opening their home and hearts to him— loving him like a member of the family.  The de la Cruz family is truly extraordinary and their patriarch influences it greatly.  I imagine wonderful parents/grandparents will be Deeply missed but never forgotten.

Dr. DelacCruz was such a good doctor. We, as nurses, sought his approval. It was an unmentioned goal of ours to earn his trust. We had to prove ourselves but once we did—we knew it. He made us all better nurses —and for that I am forever grateful. He was not just a doctor we worked with —he became a friend. Rest in peace Lito. ❤️🙏🏻

Deepest condolences to all of Angelitos family and friends. I worked many shifts at Mercy/Genesis with Dr. DelaCruz. He was the most intelligent and experienced practitioner I ever worked with. I loved his sense of humor. I worked many night shifts with him and could always trust him to make the best decisions for patients. He was so experienced and taught me so many things. He loved his wife and was so proud of his children. He had so many wonderful attributes and I have always had such fond memories of him. He will be remembered by many staff and patients. Prayers for all his family and friends. I am honored to have known him and will never forget him.
