Angie Ellen Hollinshead

She was born on April 5, 1921 in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of the late John R. and Fanny A. (Bozarth) McGrew. She married William Earl McMann in 1937. He preceded her in death in 1949. She married Earl Hollinshead in 1972. He preceded her in death in 2012.

Angie worked as an occupational assistant at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield for 37 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Sherman United Methodist Church. For the last 2 years Angie lived at Villa West in Sherman. Her family would like to extend their thanks to all the staff there.

She is survived by 5 children, Robert (wife Diane) McMann of Addison, IL, Floyd McMann of Lake City, FL, Richard (wife Diana) McMann of McLean, IL, Thomas McMann of Tampa, FL, and Darrell (wife Betty) McMann of Grand Bay, AL; a stepdaughter Debra Hollinshead of Austin, TX, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother William (wife Bonnie) McGrew of Kirkland, AZ; and 2 very special nieces, Jan Cleaver of Springfield and Pam Kaiser of Rochester. Jan and Pam became Angie’s daughters she never had. They had a very special place in Angie’s heart. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by a grandson, 4 brothers, and 1 sister.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 10:30 am until time of the funeral service at 11:30 am, with Rev. Craig Sweet officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
