Ann M. (Moore) Anderson

Ann was born on January 30, 1959, in Springfield, the daughter of Arthur and Jeanette Dickerson Moore.

She graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1977 and in 1979 received her LPN from Capital Area School of Practical Nursing. In 1983, Ann earned her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Illinois Eastern Community College in Robinson, IL. She was employed at St. John’s Hospital in various departments until 2011, and then worked as a Health Facility Surveillance Nurse for the Illinois Department of Public Health. Ann loved her dogs, horses, bird watching, and she enjoyed the sunsets from her backyard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin nephews, James Arthur, and Michael Frank Moore; and nephew, LCPL Jason Moore, USMC.

Ann is survived by her siblings, Bill (Gale) Moore of San Marcos, CA, Bob (Helen) Moore of Normal, IL, Jim (Sofia) Moore of Idaho Falls, ID, Mary (Greg) Curl of Springfield, and Tom Moore of Springfield; 11 nieces and nephews that she loved as her own children; several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; and best friend, Barbara “Sis” Sullivan.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Private family burial will be held at McKinnie Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life.
