

Anna H. Asher, 87, of Springfield, died at 10:35 p.m., Thursday, June 3, 2004 at St. John’s Hospice. Anna was born August 16, 1916 in Springfield, daughter of Joseph and Marcella Radavich Yuscius. She married Orban Asher November 13, 1927 in Springfield; he preceded her in death on May 6, 1988. Anna was homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Lithuanian-American Club. She was formerly a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, St. Theresa Guild, and Catholic Daughters of America. She also enjoyed gardening. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Patricia Ann Asher and two brothers: John and Stanley Yuscius. She is survived by one son: Michael R. (wife, Linda) Asher of St. Louis, MO; two grandchildren: Laurie (husband, Michael) Davis of Keller, TX, Jennifer Asher of Cape Girardeau, MO; one great grandson: Braden Davis of Keller TX; three sisters: Josephine Pavletich, Ardella Dodd and Patricia Bietsch all of Springfield; one brother: Tony (wife, Carol) Yuscius of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield with a prayer service at 5:00. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1345 N. 6th St. Springfield with Rev. Msgr. Thomas P. Holinga celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
