Anna was born in St Louis, MO, December 25, 1961, the daughter of Charles and Imelda (Kirchoff) Thiesing. She was a class of 1980 graduate of Northwest Missouri High School and then attended Jefferson College.
Anna began her professional career with Cooper-Bussman in St. Louis and then worked for Simplex. She married Maurice “Moe” Brockhouse at Concordia Lutheran Church, Springfield, March 11, 2006. After her move to Springfield, Anna became a member of the food service department of Concordia Village. She enjoyed her tenure there and became friends with many of the residents and staff there. Anna also worked part time at County Market.
When Anna married Moe, she became a part of his big family. She worked countless hours in the concession stand at all the sporting events of Concordia Lutheran Grade School. Her husband Moe was incredibly involved in the sports programs at Concordia Lutheran Grade School and Springfield Lutheran High School. Anna was right there alongside Moe showing great dedication to him, the kids, and parents. She spent many hours as a spectator for a variety of events. She especially enjoyed going to St. Louis Cardinal games with Moe.
Anna loved all holidays and enjoyed decorating her home for them. Her favorite, however, was Christmas. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Sherman, IL.
Surviving is her husband Moe, her step-children: Jason (Kelly) Brockhouse of Euliss, TX, Jeremy (Janda) Brockhouse of Delavan, IL, Gayle (Joe) Hyre of Yates City, IL, Brandon (Mai) Brockhouse of Elk Grove, CA, Randi (Miles) Morris, LeRoy, IL and Tyler (Kristen) Brockhouse of Kansas City, MO, her sister, Patty (Gary) Wilson, 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, a brother David and a nephew Gary Jr. preceded her in death.
Family and Friends are invited to a time of visitation on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 4-7 pm at Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, IL Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Sherman, IL from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am. Pastor Joshua Theilen will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
