

Anna was born on a farm in Christian County on October 20, 1923, the daughter of Curtis and Alberta Elliott Heberling.
Anna attended a one room schoolhouse until the fourth grade. The family then moved to Taylorville where she attended Memorial School and graduated from Taylorville High School in 1942. She was employed with Illinois Consolidated Telephone Company from 1942 to 1951. She married Lyle Yoho in 1949 and moved to Springfield in 1951. She worked for Sears for about ten years and then for Illinois Bell Telephone Company for twenty years until her retirement in 1989. She was a life member of the Bell Pioneers and belonged to the Cloud Nine Ranch in MO with her husband, where they spent most of their summers.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son-in-law, Darell Nickel; granddaughter, Buffy; grandson, Donnie Klinger; two sisters; and three brothers.
Anna is survived by her children, Gary (Kay) Klinger of Taylorville, Becky Nickel of Edinburg, Al (Jackie) Yoho and Peg (Mike) Helton, both of Springfield; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:15 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL. A Funeral Ceremony will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Judge (Ret.) Ron Spears officiating.
Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
