Arthur L Roesch

He was born in Curran, IL August 14, 1934, the son of Arthur J and Opal (Leigh) Roesch. He married Betty Lucas in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Berlin, IL January 29,1966, and she preceded him in death on July 29, 2011.

Mr. Roesch proudly served in the United States Marine Corp 1953-1956. He achieved the rank of Sargent. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Good conduct Medal and the M-1 Marksman Medal.

Arthur was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish. He retired as a self-employed computer consultant and was a dedicated supporter of University of Illinois and the Grants and Aids committee of the University.

He is survived by his two daughters; Jane Roesch of Springfield, and Susan (Tyler) Nurnberg of Chicago, two grandsons: Mitch Nelson of Springfield, Grayson and a granddaughter, Hayden Nurnberg of Chicago, his sister, Alice Moss of New Berlin, IL and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, IL at 1:30 pm Wednesday, June 11, 2025, with Rev. Michael Friedel officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, New Berlin, IL.
