

Augusta ''Gussie'' Colin-Kruger, 88, of Springfield, passed away at 12:05 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2001, at St. John's Hospice. Augusta was born October 18, 1913, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Colin in Eldorado, IL. She married Victor Kruger in May 1949, he preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Kurger was employed by the State of Illinois. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of Third Age Living of St. John Hospital. She was a resident of Springfield for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Victor Kruger and one brother, Victor Colin, Jr. She is survived by three daughters: Yvonne (husband, John) Brandis of Springfield, Victoria ''Vicky'' (husband, Mike) Osterholt of Springfield, Kathleen (husband, Dale) Whittle of San Diego, CA; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers: Armand (wife, Tillie) Colin of Springfield; Maurice ''Moe'' (wife, Jean) Colin of Dawson, George A. (wife, Winnie) Colin of Salisbury, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 4-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2001 with a wake service at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2001 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with Reverend Rodney Schwartz celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church 1020 N. Milton Ave., Springfield, IL 62702.
