She was born Oct. 20, 1913, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Robert Gordon and Myrtle Bates McKibbin. She married Dr. Arthur C. Buchmann in 1938.
Mrs. Buchmann was a member of the Springfield Junior League, Springfield Art Association, King's Daughters circle and First Presbyterian Church. She also volunteered at Memorial Medical Center for many years.
She is survived by a son, Gordon (wife, Lydia) of Denver; a daughter, Beth (husband, Bart) Sheinberg of Houston; two grandchildren, Paul and Luke; and three great-grandchildren, Juliet, Miles and Grant.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2008 at Camp Butler National Cemetery. A memorial gathering will follow from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel.
