Barbara K. Campbell

She was born in Nov. 9, 1922 in Rockford the daughter of Robert and Bernice Brennan Murphy. She married Frank J. Campbell in 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1965. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister Marilyn McCool.

She was a graduate of Rockford High School. She had worked for Dodge McGraw Hill Construction and was a member of WIC (Women in Construction) and Beta Sigma Phi.

Barbara was a wonderful cook and loved to entertain. She was an avid reader and enjoyed politics and camping at NSPOA.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Linda (husband, Gary) Groves and Cindy (husband, Jerry) Redpath both of Springfield; her grandchildren, Rob (Jennifer) Redpath, Jeris (Dean) Creasey, Lori Kerr and Brad Cundiff and great grandchildren, Zachary Redpath and Connor and Darby Creasey.

The family is being served by Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel where friends may call from 5 to 7:00 PM Wednesday Feb. 6, 2008 and where services will be held 9:30 AM Thursday Feb. 7, 2008 with Rev. Donald Meehling officiating. Interment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
