She was the beloved mother of James (Amy) Kusha, Jr. and Kim Krisciunas; sister of Mary Novotny and the late William and Ralph Laschen; daughter of the late Albert and Bessie Laschen.
Barbara was an elementary school teacher in Plum Borough, PA and Penn Hills, PA and worked for many years at IDL, Inc. in Pittsburgh. She was a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her friends at Lewis Memorial Christian Village playing Rummikub.
