Barbara Jean Pitts

Barbara was born February 14, 1934 in Westmont, IL the daughter of William and Elsa Wunderlich Landgraf. She married Jerry Pitts September 1, 1956 in Westmont, IL.

Mrs. Pitts was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was very active, including the seniors group, ladies aide, the altar guild, and the PTL. She was also an active bowler for several leagues and a member of the Silver Steppers.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry of Springfield; three daughters: Catherine Jean (husband, Tim) Thompson of San Francisco, CA, Karen Jo Pitts of Springfield, Joanna Genell (husband, Mark) Kidd of Port Charlotte, FL; one sister: Vera (husband, Jim) Auberry of Port Hueneme, CA, one brother: Earl (wife, Terry) Landgraf of LaGrange Park, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends from 4-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Additional visitation will be from 9-10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2750 Sangamon Ave., Springfield. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Darrell Debowey. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
