Steve and Mark,
So sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I remember her kindness when visiting your home.

Barb was my neighbor in Pleasant Plains for many years. My sons, Dennis and Aaron Hamilton helped Barb & Fritz with bulls on their farm. The friendship blossomed into a deep closeness for years and years. Barb was a beautiful lady inside and out. Caring and down to Earth.  Barb and Fritz were fabulous friends, neighbors and felt like Family.  Barb will forever be missed and loved along with Fritz. Forever in our Hearts.

Barb and Fritz... an iconic inspiration to us all, of what a lifetime of love looks like. I learned so many wonderful lessons about life on your front porch. I could never repay you for all the priceless memories and wisdom. However, I will say that you live on forever in my heart and soul. You made my childhood and adolescence something magical. I can still smell the brownies and taste the lemonade. I think of the flowers and the oo-oos and the countless buckets of water. Clearing the fences, taking a shock every now and then haha. So many wonderful times.
 Lastly I want to mention a few wonderful characters from your farm.  Pudgy and Barbara Ann, Billy, Carl and Davey, Blue and Blues Brother, Whitey the Peacock, Heidi the horse, Smokey, Calli the Calico and Tommy the Cat. 
I love you all very much.

I had only met your mom once for your wedding, but she bearhugged me as if I was one of her own.

I will never forget that and the joy your mom shared that day.

Your mom said that I & others were like sons to her. She was like a mom to us & your dad was like our own dad.
If we are lucky in life, there are people who will make a positive impact us & both your parents did that for me & others. I will cherish the many visits, cards & letters over the years. As well as the big boxes of theological books & articles from your dad & my wife Nancy will cherish the Disney collectibles from your mom. 
The second half of the Mr. & Mrs. Schwebke duo are gone but will never be forgotten & the time with them will be cherished. I could never call them by their first names even in my adulthood. Even at their insistence, it just did not seem right.
We thank God for the lives of both your parents & the time we had with them & for the assurance that there is a place for us in his house & that we will be reunited with our family & friends.

A second mom, not a mother-in-law.  I will treasure the memories of us cooking together.  Thanks for sharing the recipes and the love.

Mark and Stephen, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I remember the Peacock farm when I was a kid. Had a lot of watching them. 
I also enjoyed visiting your mom each time she was at Memorial. She was a great lady. She will be missed

My last visit with Aunt Barb.  We had a wonderful lunch.  I love you!

We will always have the memories of visiting, running outside and playing with sticks. I’m so glad we could spend those days together.

We will miss you Aunt Barb.  You kept the art of the letter writing alive and introduced the boys to the world of letters, comics and news clippings. You were always thinking of us, and we will miss you dearly.
