Becky L. Morgan

Becky L. Morgan, 50, of Springfield, passed away at 9:18 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at her residence. Becky was born on December 11, 1967 in Sterling, IL, the daughter of Glenn J. and Carol C. Rosson Morgan. Becky was a cook for Pleasant Park Child Development Center in Chatham for more than 15 years. She enjoyed dogs and was involved in rescuing senior dogs through the Helping Paw Project. Becky also volunteered at Childrens Miracle Network activities with her mother. She loved to go on the canoe and fish. She also enjoyed Harley-Davidson and loved her great-nephew. Becky was a die-hard Cubs fan and a collector of m&m memorabilia. Becky was preceded in death by her father; one brother, Jon L. Morgan; and great-niece, Madison Joy Rhoads. She is survived by her mother, Carol C. Morgan of Springfield; niece, Debra (husband, Derek) Rhoads of Springfield; nephew, Robert Weible; and great-nephew, Phoenix J. Rhoads. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering and Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:45 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home. A Memorial Ceremony will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Deacon Lawrence Smith officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.
