

Bennie Christopher Williams, 37, of Springfield, died at 6:11 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center. Bennie was born on June 10, 1969 in Springfield, the son of Willie and Hattie Collins Williams. He married Rebecca Lee Arms on March 24, 1997 in Springfield. He was a graduate of Lanphier High School and was employed for four years with the Labors Local Union 477. He attended the West Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He enjoyed weightlifting, football, fishing and traveling. Bennie was a hardworking, caring and extremely well liked gentleman; who will be remembered by his family and friends for his warm smile, unique laugh and loving and giving nature. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandmothers: Louvina Williams and Sarah Collins. He is survived by his wife: Rebecca Williams of Springfield; two sons: Sevyon Kalel Williams of Springfield and Marcus Williams of Mississippi; his father: Willie (wife, Priscilla) Williams of Springfield; two brothers: James Jackson of Oregon and Willias Williams of Springfield; two sisters: Sarah Jackson of Georgia and Latoya Brazwell of Springfield; one step-brother: Lendell Eubanks of California; two step-sisters: Tamaria Eubanks of Texas and Shawanda Eubanks of Mississippi and several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, with Gary Spencer officiating.
