

Born on April 30, 1941, in Springfield, Jayne was the daughter of Guerino and Bessie Lee (Reynolds) Paoli. On October 31, 1959, she married the love of her life, D. Robert “Bob” Teater, beginning a marriage filled with devotion, family, and cherished memories.
Jayne graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and spent her early years raising her children while working various part-time jobs. She later joined Horace Mann, where she faithfully served for 18 years, retiring as a receptionist and security officer. Family was the center of Jayne’s life. She took great joy in supporting her children as they trained and showed horses and was always their biggest cheerleader. Jayne and Bob shared a love of camping and fishing, creating countless memories with family and friends. She never passed up an opportunity to gather with loved ones, share stories, laugh, and enjoy a cold beer. In her later years, she found happiness in arts and crafts, bingo, balloon volleyball, celebrations, and happy hours with friends. Her energy, enthusiasm, and love of life kept her active until her final days. Above all, Jayne was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob; brothers Ron Paoli, Jim Paoli, Steve Paoli, and Gerard (Paoli) Patterson; sisters Jolene Nathey and Julie Duffy; and her grandson, Sean Teater.
Jayne is survived by her sons, Bob Teater Jr. of Winter Haven, Tom Teater of North Palm Beach, and Tim Teater of Oakland Park; her daughter, Annie (Billy) Markum of Port St. Lucie; eight grandchildren, Ariana (Patrick) O’Neill, Marc (fiancée Kristina Carbon) Bourlard, Casie (Ian) McDowell, Bryce (fiancée Rachel Shive) Markum, Mike (Felicia) Teater, Olivia Teater, Ryan (fiancée, Ashley Donahue) Teater, and Brad (Meredith) Scales; eight great-grandchildren, McKenna, Cian, Everett, Charlotte, Truitt, Flynn, Augie, and Caden; her brother, Terry Paoli of Fort Lauderdale; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, at St. Joseph Church, 1345 N. 6th Street, Springfield, with Fr. Manuel P. Cuizon, Ph.D. officiating. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
