Betty J. Bodine

Betty was born on May 27, 1942, in Springfield, the daughter of Frank and Freida Brewer Williamson. She married Phillip Bodine on June 30, 1961, in Berlin, IL.

Betty was a graduate of Pleasant Plains High School. She retired from the State of IL in 1989, after 20 years of service. Betty enjoyed playing piano and singing in her church choir in Berlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Bodine of Springfield; two sons, Kevin (wife, Tricia) Bodine of Illiopolis and Douglas Bodine of Pleasant Plains; five grandchildren, Kyle Bodine of Alexander, Dylan Bodine of Springfield, Dylan Hawkins of Illiopolis, Brad Bodine of Chatham, and Nick Bodine of Pleasant Plains; several great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Larry (wife, Sue) Williamson of Springfield, Bill Williamson of Pleasant Plains, Greg (wife, Melodie) Williamson of Alexander, and JoAnn (husband, Bob) Pickerill of Petersburg.

Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home-New Berlin, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
