Betty R. Hart

Betty Ruth Hart, 95, of Springfield, passed away on November 24, 2025 at her residence. She was born on November 10, 1930 in Springfield to Amos Allen and Ruth Williams Allen. Betty married Ernest Lyman Hart Jr. on February 12, 1948 and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1994.

Mrs. Hart is survived by four children: Amy (Kevin Thompson) Cunningham of Spaulding, Michael Hart, Bradley Hart and Tracy Rutherford all of Springfield, several grandchildren including Ashlee Lasley, Karlee Thompson, Vincent Hart, Lindsey, Raven Bostic and Kylie Fletcher, three step grandchildren including Eddie Rutherford, three special nieces: Linda Schroll (Gary Schroll family) of Florida, Malinda Click (Ben Conway) of California and Marlene Hart, one brother C.C. Allen of Chatham and several great-grandchildren including Harmonee Cunningham, Maria Hart and Kingston Lasley. She was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter Journee Jackson and one niece Marlene Hart.

Betty Ruth was the owner of SMW Auto Supply in Springfield, she took over the business from her father. Betty was also the caregiver for her niece Marlene Hart, who predeceased her.

A private graveside service was held at Roselawn Memorial Park and services were entrusted to Bisch and Son Funeral Home, www.bischandsonfuneralhome.com.
