Betty June Steh

She was born on April 14, 1925 in Johnston City, IL, the daughter of the late L.A. and Rosalie (Steiger) Odom. She married Frank Steh, Jr. on Oct. 12, 1946 at First Christian Church in Johnston City, IL where they members until moving to Springfield and he survives.

Mrs. Steh was a member of West Side Christian Church in Springfield, and was active in the TNT Sunday School class. She also volunteered at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially pies and cobblers, and loved spending time with her family.

Besides her husband Frank, she is survived by her daughters, Rosenell Elaine Steh, and Dr. Beth Steh (husband Kevin Jarvis), both of Springfield; a grandson Aaron Jarvis of Huntington Beach, CA; a niece Paula Knopp,(husband Richard) of Lincoln, IL; great-nieces, Nicki Green (husband Greg) of Bloomington, IL, and Katie Young (husband Justin) of Springfield; a great-nephew Andy Knopp (wife Lindsey) of Cedar Rapids, IA; and many loved great-great nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Robert Alan Steh, and her brother and sister-in-law Paul and Katherine Odom.

Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 4 to 7 pm at West Side Christian Church, 2850 Cider Mill Lane, Springfield, IL 62702. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11 am at the church, Dr Richard Knopp officiating. Graveside service and Burial will be on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at

1 pm at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City, IL.

Memorials may be made to Lake Springfield Christian Assembly Eagle Lodge or to Lincoln Christian University.
