

Bill was born May 8, 1932, in Macon, MO, the son of Leslie and Jewell Miller Brammer. He married Darlene Mohn on October 4, 1958, in Springfield; she preceded him in death on May 5, 2009.
Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1950 to 1954. He was employed with Ironworkers Union Local 46 for 20 years and was a past member of the VFW Post 755 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 437. Bill enjoyed mushroom hunting, deer hunting, fishing, and playing BINGO.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and grandson, William E. “Wes” Suggs.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Vickie (husband, David) Formea and Lisa (husband, Earl) Suggs, both of Springfield; four grandchildren, Anthony Formea, Kimberly Formea Griffitts, and Nicholas and Randall Suggs; six great-grandchildren, Hayden Hampson Suggs, Madison Noel and Lillian Griffitts, Ryland Jean Formea, Ella Suggs, and R. J. Suggs; sister, Barbara White of Moberly, MO; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
Funeral Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield with Rev. Donald Pritchard officiating.
Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County.
