Bob L. Jones

Bob was born September 17, 1946, in Pawnee, the son of Leeford and Alveeta (Piercy) Jones. He married Shirley Mae Eller on October 22, 1966, in Divernon, IL.

Bob graduated from Pawnee High School and was the owner/operator of B.J. Construction. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Auburn. Bob was a country boy at heart. He loved spending time at White Oaks, the family farm. Bob could usually be found working in the yard or fixing things in the barn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry and Denny Jones; and sisters, Phyllis and Velda.

Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley Jones of Virden; sons, Curtis L. Jones of Austin, TX and Tim A. (Yvette) Jones of Chatham; grandchildren, Bryce, Jonathon, and Cole Jones; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, and Mia; siblings, Cheryl, Sue, Colleen, June, and Calvin; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Private family ceremonies were held.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bob’s family to help with funeral expenses.
