

Bobby Pokorney, 58, of Jacksonville, passed away at 12:55 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Bobby was born on August 24, 1959 in Eastern Province, Dhahran, Saudia Arabia, where his dad worked at an American Oil Company. He was the son of Robert and Katherine Pokorney. Bobby lived in Jacksonville at Elise Court. He had an innocence and happiness like no other, but it brings joy to know he is free and healthy in Heaven. Bobby loved to drink coffee and look at magazines. He also loved all music and listening to his radio. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his nephew, Mitchell Fajman. Bobby is survived by his dedicated and loving Elise Court family; his siblings, Margaret Pokorney of Lake Zurich, IL, Susie (Tom) Fajman of Channahon, IL, Kate (Gary) Kobus of Hinsdale, IL, and Richard Pokorney of Jacksonville, IL; nephews, Jack, Andrew and Brandon Kobus and Dan (Mallory) Fajman; and a niece, Emily (Casey) Rogers. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Our Saviour Catholic Church, 453 E. State Street, Jacksonville. Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Our Saviour Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Bonk, celebrant. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
