Bonnie Jean Hoskins

She was born on March 10, 1928 at the Johnson family farm in Cass County to John W. Johnson Sr. and Gertrude Sarff Johnson. Bonnie married Harold John (Jack) Hoskins Jr., on May 15, 1954 in Springfield and he preceded her in death on November 20, 2013.

She is survived by her daughter Tracy (Steven) Starwalt and her son Harold John (Rhonda) Hoskins III both of Sherman, four grandchildren: Bridgette (Ryan) Hudson, Sabrina Starwalt, and Amber and Morgan Hoskins, two step-grandchildren: Andrea McAtee and Jacob Kitterman, and two great-granddaughters: Lily Ann Gristy and Hazel Lynn Hudson. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Bonnie graduated from Memorial School of Nursing and worked at Memorial Medical Center. She was a member of Oak Crest Country Club, she enjoyed cooking, and Bonnie devoted her time to raising her children and grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street, and the family will meet friends from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service. Graveside services will be held at 3:00pm, Monday at Fairview Cemetery near Chandlerville, Illinois.
