October 13, 1970 – June 9, 2026
There is always one person in every group who everyone can count on, and that was Brad - the one with a smile, a helping hand, and time for anyone who needs it. The one who puts family and friends before his own wants or needs. The one whose greatest joy comes from seeing others do what they love most.
Whether he was traveling with Michelle, his constant companion, coaching and supporting his children in their favorite sports, watching his beloved Chicago Bears and Cubs, spending quality time with his many lifelong friends, or sitting quietly in a tree stand or ground blind simply to enjoy a quiet moment with nature, that person was Bradley Michael Davis.
Brad passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2026, at the age of 55. His smile, generosity, and deep love for those closest to him are the truest things anyone could say about him. Brad gave the way other people breathe - constantly, naturally, and without ever expecting anything in return. His reward was seeing others happy. He collected thank-yous the way others collect keepsakes, and he was rich beyond measure.
Born on October 13, 1970, Brad was a graduate of Lanphier High School, Class of 1988, and earned a B.A. in Management from Sangamon State University, Class of 1993.
Brad built his life around his high school sweetheart and beloved wife, Michelle. He believed in their future and built it with unwavering faith and determination. Together, they created a beautiful life with their children, Emily and Benjamin, in Sherman, Illinois. Brad loved being a father to Emily and Benjamin and was immensely proud of them. In recent weeks, his heart grew even fuller with the arrival of his granddaughter, Livvy, who quickly became the apple of his eye and brought him immeasurable joy.
Brad founded Document Management Incorporated through hard work, trust, and determination. He hired people he believed in and treated them like family. Later, he had the joy of bringing his children into the business. His daughter, Emily, worked alongside him for more than a decade, and in 2025, his son, Ben, joined the company as well. Brad spent his days doing what made him proudest: building something meaningful with his children.
Brad was always in your corner, always ready to help, asking nothing in return. He was everyone’s friend - the dependable constant who showed up without hesitation, with a smile, a helping hand, a voice of reason, and a contagious laugh. The space he leaves behind is exactly the size of all the love he gave.
Brad is survived by his loving parents, Don and Luan; his beloved wife, Michelle; his daughter, Emily Clark, and her husband, Bryan; and his son, Benjamin. He was a proud and adoring grandfather to Livvy. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Debbie Johnson; his sister-in-law, Stacia Gordon, and her husband, Brian, who was more like a brother; his niece, Jenna Hunter, and her husband, Evan, and their son, Garrett; his nephew, Trent; and his loyal companions, his weenie dogs, Lucy and Ivy.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Mike Johnson, whom he deeply respected and loved.
A celebration of Brad’s life will be announced at a later date.
