Brenda A. Boehner, 57, of Edinburg, IL, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at 3:12 pm at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Ottawa, IL December 8, 1960 the daughter of James and Elaine (Capitani) Swaback. She married C. Keith Boehner in Springfield, July 8, 1988 and he survives. Also surviving are her parents, two sisters; Lisa (Jerry) Gahan of Ottawa, IL, and Sally (Dominick) Bertucci of Orland Park, IL, four nephews and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and an infant brother, Keith James Swaback. Brenda retired in 2013 after 20 years of service, as an administrative assistant at the State of Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. She had a passion for reading, loved animals of all kinds and found great joy in traveling with her husband Keith. Arrangements are in the care of Bisch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen St. Springfield, IL where the family will greet friends and family, Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 10:30 am until the time of the funeral service there at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Those who wish may direct memorial contributions to the Animal Protective League 1001 Taintor Rd. Springfield, IL 62702. Keith, I was so saddened to hear of Brenda's passing. I always thought that Brenda was such an awesome lady with a great sense of humor. It breaks my heart that she was "taken" so young, but she will always be a treasured memory. I am so sorry for your loss.
