Brenda Sue Hanna, 69, of Edinburg, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at St. Johns Hospice. Brenda was born on December 23, 1948 in Springfield, the daughter of Joseph "Jake" and Delores Powell Snyder. She married Happy Hanna on May 24, 1991. Brenda worked for the Illinois Department of Revenue for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed motorcycling with her husband and together they biked over 100,000 miles. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Happy Hanna; two sons, Shane Vestal of Peoria and Michael Vestal of Springfield; one grandchild, Ashley (husband, Steven) Woods of Springfield; two great-grandchildren, Ryen and Ronan Woods; eight siblings, Larry, Ronnie, and Jack Snyder, Bill Snell, Cathy Snyder, Lisa Mitchell, Cathy Olberding, Jennie Petitt, and Linda Harper; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A Funeral Ceremony will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Mari Richardson officiating. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.
