She was born in Carlinville, IL, on November 6, 1948, the daughter of Clarence and Merry Ione (Hewitt) Huyear. Brenda married Thomas Baker Muench in Chatham, IL, on June 1, 1990.
Brenda worked as a billing analyst for Arc Ventures and retired after 20+ years. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, shopping, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence; sister, Betty Brese; and brother, Gerry Huyear.
Brenda is survived by her mother, Ione-Lynn; husband, Tom; son, Todd (Cristi) Hartsook; daughter, Ami Paluska; stepson, Robert (Shayna) Muench; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren with one on the way; brother, Joe Huyear; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Butler Funeral Home- Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1930 Barberry Dr., Springfield, IL 62704.
