Brett B. Bradshaw

Brett B. Bradshaw, 48, of Springfield, passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Crowders Mountain State Park, North Carolina. Brett was born September 22, 1964 in Estherville, IA, the son of Larry L. and Evelyn Omundson Bradshaw. Brett attended Mankato High School and graduated in 1983. He was a 1989 graduate of Drake University with a B.S.B.A in Insurance with a concentration in Marketing. He was active in the Sigma Chi Fraternity during college. Brett was employed as a District Sales Manager for Kohl Wholesale Foods, where he was awarded district manager of the year for 2007, 2009, and 2010. Prior to that, he was employed by Unilever for 13 years. Brett enjoyed golf and was a volunteer for the LPGA State Farm Classic from 2001-2006 and was Media Center Chairman the last three years. He was also 7th and 8th grade youth leader for Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Springfield from 1999-2004 and Athletic Committee Chairman from 2002-2004. This past year he aided in disaster relief in New Jersey and New Orleans with LCMS World Relief and Human Care. Other interests included tent camping, live music, and cooking. Brett was known by his friends and family for having humor, character, and for being a man of integrity. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Bradshaw. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Bradshaw of Springfield; one daughter, Lynsey N. Bradshaw of Moline, IL; two sons, Jacob M. and Jonathan H. Bradshaw, both of Springfield; half-sister, Megan R. Bradshaw of Sioux Falls, SD; and half-brother, Blake L. Bradshaw of Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Radtke officiating. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
