Brian E. “Red” Rogers, 57, of Springfield, passed away on March 20, 2023. He was born on September 1, 1965 in Springfield to Larry and Dolores Metzger Rogers. He married Jennifer Vossman in Springfield, IL and she survives.
Mr. Rogers is also survived his son, Aaron Cox of Florida, granddaughter Aurora, mother Dolores Rogers, and brother, Shawn Rogers all of Springfield and Janet Holsopple (Kent) of Sherman.
Brian was an avid outdoorsman who loved to ski in the mountains of Reno and surf at the beaches of San Diego. He loved to fish and hunt with his best friend Sean Shymanski. He lived on the edge always looking for the next adrenaline rush. His daily quote was "every day is a good day when you are outside”. He was loved and will be missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the VFW Post 10302, 2349 Stockyard Road, Springfield, IL.
